Added to taxi squad
The White Sox added Quero to their taxi squad Sunday, but he has yet to be formally added to the 28-man active roster, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chicago is apparently entertaining the possibility of giving Quero his first taste of the big leagues over the final week of the season, but the team would have to open up a spot for him on the 40-man roster in order to do so. Quero missed about a month of action at Triple-A Charlotte with a back injury but was able to make it back and appeared in three contests before getting summoned to the White Sox's taxi squad. The 21-year-old catcher finished the Triple-A season with a .295/.382/.463 slash line over 110 plate appearances.
