ANALYSIS
Cosart, who converted to being a reliever in 2016, used his high-90s fastball to dispatch hitters at Low-A rather easily, striking out 76 batters in 52.2 innings. In his first three games with Salem, batters are 1-for-25 against and he's struck out 15 in 7.2 innings. Where his fastball was the weapon of choice at Low-A Greenville, Cosart has been getting swings and misses with his curveball and splitter. "Both pitches have their moments and show pretty good potential," said Red Sox farm director Ben Crockett.
