The Giants have selected Miller with the 95th overall pick in the 2015 first-year player draft.
Miller has emerged as the top middle-infield prospect from Georgia in the 2015 draft class, thanks in part to adding bulk to his frame and the subsequent increase in his power projection. A right-handed bat, Miller has the defensive prowess necessary to stick in the infield as he advances through the minor league ranks. As comps go, Miller has been compared to current Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips when Phillips was a prep star in Georgia more than a decade ago. It's possible that Miller will prove capable of sticking at shortstop thanks to his arm strength, hands, and quickness, but he has the profile of an offensive contributor capable of doing a little bit of everything thanks to his balanced tools.
