The 24-year-old was in his first season with the Cubs' organization, but the North Siders cut ties with him after Medina posted a disastrous 11.57 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in seven appearances for Double-A Tennessee. He has some solid minor-league numbers to his name (outside of this awful start to 2017), so he could pick up some intrigue on the free market, especially given his age.
