Orozco
was traded to the Yankees on Wednesday as part of a package that sent Ben Gamel to the Mariners.
ANALYSIS
Orozco is essentially the headliner for the Yankees in this trade, and it's easy to see what they like about the 19-year-old righty. He has 63 strikeouts in 48.2 innings this year with the Arizona League Mariners, thanks in large part to a fastball that sits in the mid-to-upper 90s. While he has not yet been converted fully to a relief role, that is the most likely outcome, and it could lead to him eventually sitting in the 97-98 mph range in short bursts. Look for him to move quickly through the Yankees' system if they do indeed make that transition.
