Elander was traded to the Diamondbacks late Thursday in exchange for pitcher Trevor Cahill, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
After being named the Braves' Minor League Player of the Year in 2013, Elander regressed considerably last season, batting just .219 in an injury-marred campaign at High-A Lynchburg. The downturn in performance plunged him further down prospect lists, but he'll get an opportunity to recoup some value with the organizational change. Expect him to begin the year at the High-A level with the Diamondbacks.
