Sandoval re-signed with the Rays on a minor league contract Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Brought in by the Rays from the Mexican League last season, Sandoval spent most of his time at Double-A Montgomery in 2013, posting a 3.24 ERA and 1.59 WHIP over 58.1 relief innings. He earned a late-season promotion to Triple-A Durham and figures to spend most of his time there in 2014. At 33 years old, he shouldn't be regarded as much of a prospect.
