The White Sox have selected Henzman with the 117th overall pick in the 2017 first-year player draft.
ANALYSIS
A 21-year-old righty out of Louisville, Henzman has a plus fastball and also throws a cutter and a changeup. He replaced Zack Burdi this season as the Cardinals' closer, and that seems to be his likely eventual role as a pro. That said, the White Sox could deploy him as a starter initially, as he has the control and three-pitch mix to work out of the rotation.
