Twins head athletic trainer Nick Paparesta said Monday that Keaschall isn't likely to require surgery to address a fractured right ulna bone, but he's still expected to miss two months or more,
Minnesota Star Tribune reports. "It's probably going to be a couple months before he's back into playing games," Paparesta said.
ANALYSIS
The rookie had gotten off to a nice start to his big-league career with a 1.064 OPS and five stolen bases in seven games before suffering the forearm injury Friday, when he was hit by a pitch. Keaschall will undergo weekly X-rays to check his progress and to confirm that he won't need a plate inserted in his arm to heal properly, but even if all goes smoothly in his recovery, he doesn't look as though he'll be ready to return from the injured list until shortly before the All-Star break.
