Johnson (elbow) was assigned to High-A Bowling Green on Tuesday after being
reinstated from Single-A Charleston's 60-day injured list. He debuted for Bowling Green on Wednesday, striking out one batter and allowing one hit and no walks over three scoreless innings.
ANALYSIS
Johnson had been sidelined for the first three-plus months of the season while recovering from surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow before he was cleared to begin a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League during the All-Star break. Over his three rehab outings in the FCL, Johnson struck out four batters across 4.2 scoreless innings.
