Sierra, 18, is slashing .291/.364/.671 with eight homers and three steals in 79 at-bats in the Appalachian League.
ANALYSIS
Sierra was a top-20 prospect in the 2014 J-2 International Signing Period, but he has outperformed that ranking to date, and perhaps the only player who has been more impressive from that class has been Anderson Espinoza. Sierra is just the latest in what seems to be a never-ending pipeline of up-the-middle talent for Houston. He should definitely stick at shortstop, and if he continues to showcase this kind of pop, he'll be viewed as a top-100 prospect in short order.
