Castillo has agreed to a minor league contract with the Rockies, the
Denver Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The deal has been agreed to in principal and will likely become official in the coming days. Castillo, a 24-year-old right-hander, posted a 1.93 ERA across five starts after his promotion to the Cardinals' Triple-A affiliate last season, but figures to open the year as depth at Triple-A Colorado Springs, with Juan Nicasio, Franklin Morales and Jordan Lyles vying for the No. 5 starter job.
