Carson received a 50-game suspension for a second positive test for a drug of abuse,
ESPN's Adam Rubin reports.
ANALYSIS
A 26-year-old lefty, Carson last pitched in the majors in 2013, when he posted an 8.24 ERA and 5:4 K:BB in 14 appearances (19.2 innings) for the Mets. He hasn't started a game in the minors since 2011, and he struggled while pitching out of the bullpen at the Triple-A level last season.
