Miley (forearm) met with a doctor Monday and is still trying to determine his next steps after he was pulled off his rehab assignment over the weekend,
MLB.com reports.
Analysis
Miley was shut down after experiencing soreness during his rehab outing with Double-A Chattanooga on Friday. The veteran southpaw opened the season on the shelf while completing his recovery from UCL surgery and eventually joined the Reds in early June, making just three appearances before going down with a left flexor strain. Though the Reds aren't yet ruling Miley out for the season, the fact that he's dealt with two elbow/forearm-related setbacks in his return from UCL surgery doesn't bode well for his chances of contributing for the big club before the 2025 campaign comes to a close.
