Onuaku's contract would have become fully guaranteed later Saturday, so the Magic will waive him in order to free up a roster spot. The 29-year-old appeared in only eight games for the Magic this season and has bounced around between four teams since entering the league in 2013. He's unlikely to be picked up off waivers by another team and may be forced to ply his trade in the D-League.
