Yurtseven agreed in principle to a contract with Greek club Panathinaikos on Monday,
Eurohoops reports.
ANALYSIS
The deal isn't finalized yet, as the 6-foot-11 center still wants to give NBA teams one last chance to offer him a contract before he heads back to Europe. After spending three years with Turkish club Fenerbache to start his basketball career, Yurtseven went to the United States for college in 2016. He spent four years at NC State before transferring to Georgetown. He wasn't selected in the 2020 NBA Draft but received a G League opportunity and worked his way into the Heat's rotation in the 2020-21 season, averaging 5.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 12.6 minutes across 56 appearances (12 starts). After making only nine appearances for Miami in 2022-23, Yurtseven joined the Jazz in 2023-24 and played 48 games (12 starts), averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 11.4 minutes.
