The Clippers are expected to officially part ways with Tucker soon, potentially by facilitating a trade with another team willing to take on the 39-year-old's $11.54 million salary for the 2024-25. Acquired from the 76ers last October in the deal that sent James Harden to Los Angeles, Tucker made just 31 appearances during the 2023-24 season and averaged 1.7 points and 2.7 rebounds across 15.7 minutes. Though he has a reputation as a tough defender, Tucker probably doesn't profile as an NBA rotation player at this stage of his career, which could make it difficult for the Clippers to find a taker for his contract.
