The G League's Westchester Knicks acquired the returning player rights for Maledon and Trevion Williams, and in exchange, the G League's Valley Suns received the returning player rights for Mamadi Diakite.
ANALYSIS
While the Knicks' G League affiliate now owns the returning player rights to Maledon, it is not likely he will join the club as he recently signed a contract overseas with French club ASVEL Basket. The 23-year-old spent the 2023-24 campaign as a two-way player for the Hornets and Suns, appearing in only 17 regular-season games while averaging 3.5 points across 12.5 minutes per contest.
