ANALYSIS
Wang, the 57th overall pick in last week's 2016 NBA Draft, was never a serious candidate to join the Grizzlies during the coming season, as he's still viewed as something of a project, despite being 22 years old. The seven-footer is likely to continue playing for the Fujian Sturgeons of the Chinese Basketball Association, where he averaged a career-low 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in an injury-plagued 2015-16 campaign. If he can stay healthy and raise his production as expected, Wang could be more alluring as a potential roster candidate for the Grizzlies next summer.
