The Buccaneers informed Adjei-Barimah, who was set to become a restricted free agent March 14, that he won't be tendered a contract for 2018,
Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Adjei-Barimah missed the entire 2017 season with a knee injury but was just cleared by his surgeon to resume football activities earlier this week. Though he's now healthy, the Buccaneers evidently didn't think Adjei-Barimah was worth retaining as a depth cornerback, so he'll hit the open market in mid-March. Only 25 years old, Adjei-Barimah has NFL starting experience dating back to 2015 and could attract attention from several teams on a short-term deal.
