Reviewing the Top Apple Pay Betting Sites

Seven of the eight major US sportsbooks currently accept Apple Pay. Below, I've listed out each of the seven Apple Pay betting sites and provided a quick-hitting review of the experience.

  1. BetMGM
  2. Fanatics Sportsbook
  3. bet365
  4. DraftKings
  5. Caesars Sportsbook
  6. FanDuel
  7. ESPN BET

1. BetMGM

Of course, they're known as the King of Sportsbooks for a reason. I view this as one of the best Apple Pay betting sites, thanks to the lucrative welcome bonus and the seamless user experience.

Make sure you take advantage of the BetMGM bonus code ROTOWIRE (or ROTOBONUS in KY, MA, & NY) to claim a First Bet Offer worth up to $1,500.

2. Fanatics Sportsbook

One of the newer entrants on the block, I was really encouraged to see this sportsbook offers Apple Pay functionality so soon after launching. This sportsbook has plenty more to offer than just banking options, however.

Be sure to take advantage of the Fanatics Sportsbook promo code, which can net new bettors $250, $300, or $1,000 in bonus bets depending on location.

3. bet365

Already a household name overseas, this sportsbook is starting to make waves in the US as well. Part of the reason it has taken off in the states is the seamless integration with electronic payment providers, like Apple Pay.

And the bet365 bonus code ROTOWIRE unlocks one of my favorite offers across all Apple Pay betting sites, making this is a platform you don't want to miss.

4. DraftKings

As one of the most well-known sportsbooks in the country, it should come as no surprise that this is one of the betting sites with Apple Pay functionality.

Make sure you use the DraftKings promo code to score up to $150 in bonus bets when you wager $5 or more.

5. Caesars Sportsbook

This is one of the most well-known brands in the gambling industry, and the sportsbook is really starting to make a name for itself as well. It's definitely among my favorite Apple Pay betting sites, thanks in large part to the Caesars Sportsbook promo code ROTODYW, which unlocks one of the most unique welcome offers in the state.

6. FanDuel

Essentially synonymous with sports betting in the US, FanDuel is arguably the most famous of all Apple Pay betting sites. And for good reason. The FanDuel promo code unlocks a $150 Bet & Get deal, and the overall experience the platform offers is unmatched.

7. ESPN BET

I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that this operator was one of the top betting sites with Apple Pay. The World Wide Leader in Sports has gotten into sports betting, and they've leveraged that platform to create a rock-solid sportsbook. Use the ESPN Bet promo code ROTO to unlock our exclusive welcome offer.

What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is an electronic payment platform that allows users to send and receive money from businesses or friends. It's Apple's answer to PayPal or Venmo. If you're an Android user, you may want to consider checking out the available PayPal betting sites instead, as the platform is only available on iOS devices.

Another alternative for Android users would be one of the Venmo betting sites. But if you're mainly an iOS person, I recommend you stick with one of the seven sportsbooks that accept Apple Pay deposits and withdrawals.

What Major Sportsbooks Don't Accept Apple Pay?

Seven of the eight major US-based sportsbooks currently accept Apple Pay withdrawals and deposits. The only exception of the bunch is BetRivers, which I'm hoping will start using Apple Pay in the not-too-distant future. But as of now, it's not one of the accepted payment methods at the sportsbook.

How to Use Apple Pay for Sports Betting

Using Apple Pay is easy as can be, which is part of the reason why it's my favorite payment method. To prepare to make your first Apple Pay payment, follow these steps:

  1. ✅ Create an Apple Pay Account: Sign up for an Apple Pay account (if you haven't already). You'll need to link a debit card or bank account.
  2. ✅ Choose one of the Apple Pay Betting Sites: Pick one of the seven sportsbooks that accept Apple Pay, which I have listed above.
  3. ✅ Deposit Funds: Select Apple Pay as your deposit method of choice and decide how much you'd like to fund your betting account with.
  4. ✅ Confirm the Transaction: Your Apple device will likely ask you for extra verification. Face ID and Touch ID are the fastest way to verify and confirm your transaction, assuming you've already got them set up.
  5. ✅ Place Your Bets: Once your Apple Pay transaction has cleared, you should be able to start wagering.
  6. ✅ Withdraw Winnings: If your bet wins, you can make your first of (hopefully!) many Apple Pay withdrawals. You should be able to decide whether you want the money to go to your Apple Wallet or your bank account.

How to Deposit at Apple Pay Sportsbooks

Similarly, Apple Pay deposits are straightforward. If you're using Apple Pay, you'll be able to deposit funds and start betting instantly. Some other deposit methods will take much longer, so this is another huge plus of the platform. Here's how you do it:

  1. Head to the banking options at one of the sportsbooks that accept Apple Pay.
  2. Choose Apple Pay from the drop-down.
  3. Select your desired amount (usually a $10 minimum deposit).
  4. Connect your Apple Pay account.
  5. Confirm your transaction.

It's important to note that there's a $10,000 limit per transaction when using Apple Pay. And there's a maximum of $10,000 across a seven-day period when making Apple Pay deposits.

How to Withdraw at Apple Pay Sportsbooks

This is also my preferred withdrawal method, so it should come as no surprise that Apple Pay withdrawals are easy as well. Below, I've broken the process down:

  1. Head to the banking section at one of the sportsbooks that accept Apple Pay.
  2. Choose "Withdraw." Input your desired amount.
  3. For future use, make sure Apple Pay is your default withdrawal method, and select it from the drop-down.
  4. Click on "Request Withdrawal."

But I should note there's a $10,000 limit per transaction and you're capped at $20,000 per week.

How Fast is the Withdrawal Time at Apple Pay Betting Apps?

Generally, Apple Pay withdrawals should process within 1-4 hours of submitting the transaction. That makes this platform one of the quickest options available, and it's usually much quicker than alternatives like a credit or debit card. But it's important to note that this can vary across online sportsbooks on occasion.

Apple Pay Pros & Cons for Sports Bettors

If you've made it this far, it should be clear that the pros far outweigh the cons. But for total transparency, I've broken down the pros & cons of using the platform in the following section:

Pros of Apple Pay Online Betting Sites

  1. ✅ Ease of Use: Once you've linked your account, the payment process is remarkably easy.
  2. ✅ Speed of Deposits & Withdrawals: This is the fastest payment method across the online sports betting industry.
  3. ✅ One-Click Transactions: Once the account is linked successfully, you'll only be a click or two away from finalizing your transaction.

Cons of Apple Pay Online Betting Sites

  1. ❌ Availability: Seven Sportsbooks accept Apple Pay, while its two biggest competitors are accepted at eight sportsbooks.
  2. ❌ No Android Functionality: The platform is only available on iOS devices, so Android users will have to look elsewhere.

Rules & Restrictions at Apple Pay Betting Apps

Below, I've broken down some of the rules and restrictions you'll want to be aware of while using Apple Pay. I found these were generally industry standard, but it's essential you're aware of these when using betting apps

Potential Limits

As mentioned above, there's a cap on Apple Pay transactions. The platform's deposit limits are $10,000 per transaction and per week. Apple Pay withdrawals are limited to $10,000 per transaction and $20,000 per week. But unless you're a really high roller, your sports betting transactions should fall well below those thresholds, so this shouldn't be an issue for most bettors.

Processing Times

While mobile payments will usually post within 1-4 hours, this number can differ across online sportsbooks. You may be subject to occasional delays for a variety of reasons, especially if your betting account is newer or unverified. If the issue persists, be sure to contact customer support.

Potential Fees

There's an Apple Pay option that allows you to select a standard or instant transfer. If you select an instant transfer when using Apple Pay, you will likely be subject to a fee from the platform. It's a 1.5% fee that caps out at $15 for instant transfers. But there are no fees on standard transfers, so if you can, I certainly advise waiting it out.

Apple Pay Betting Sites Summary

Overall, if you're looking to break into the online sports betting scene, I advise you to use an electronic payment platform like Apple Pay. Apple Pay deposits are fast, safe, and reliable, and most major sportsbooks accept Apple pay these days.

Just choose from one of the seven best Apple Pay sportsbooks I have listed here, and kickstart your sportsbook account today!
