- Jared Abbrederis did not participate in training camp Friday as the Packers fear he may have torn his ACL. Abbrederis was hoping to fill a void in the Packers’ receiving corp after the team lost James Jones to Oakland. A source told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that a preliminary test showed a possible anterior cruciate ligament tear, but the Packers are waiting for more diagnostic tests to confirm this hypothesis. The Packers have not made an official announcement on the injury.
- Niners’ receiver Michael Crabtree is believed to have a minor hamstring injury. It seems like Crabtree is completely over the Achilles injury that slowed him down in 2013 and has otherwise looked sharp in training camp this year. Fellow receiver Brandon Lloyd has been sidelined in as well with an unspecified injury. Crabtree is expected to make a full recovery before the regular season, but for the time being, Quinton Patton and Bruce Ellington will pick up extra reps in practice.
