For the real reason I posted this, read on.

It’s only fitting that my most gluttonous season of drafts began on a scorching hot summer day in the most gluttonous, overindulgent city I know – Vegas, Baby.

But that was two months ago (to the day) in a ridiculous two-story Caesar’s Palace suite secured by industry legend and loud mouth, Yahoo’s Brad Evans. So, presumably no one cares about that just minutes away from the first Sunday of the NFL’s 100th season kicking off. All our drafts are over and I gave owners little to nothing to help them prep for their pain-staking, potentially season-making decisions. Hopefully, I can make amends in season when the best teams are often not the ones who crushed their drafts, but the ones who adjusted most prudently, made the timely starts, shrewd pickups and season-altering trades.

NFL Training Camp Blog: Zeke finally eats! Plus, injury round-up.

It’s finally here. After months of hype, rumors and news, the NFL regular season finally begins on Thursday. For fantasy football fans, this is our Christmas Eve, as we have but one sleep remaining until we can begin to unwrap our gifts.

With rosters now settled, most of the news regards injured players and their chances of playing this weekend. There was one glaring exception, however. Ezekiel Elliott finally ended his holdout to sign a six-year deal worth $90 million early Wednesday morning. He then joined his teammates for his first practice of the summer.

Tweets from the Weekend: NFL Roster Cutdown Day

As much as I love a long-winded argument, I’ve increasingly come to accept that very few of my opinions require more than 280 characters of the English language. My sweet spot is somewhere between 140 and 280, so I’m eternally grateful (slight exaggeration) for Twitter’s expansion of their limit.
