Bamba (concussion) provided 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, and five blocks in the win over Lipscomb on Saturday.

The freshman center missed the win over New Hampshire and only played 19 minutes against the Bisons. He was whistled for four fouls. Competition ramps up for Texas against Butler on Thursday. The Longhorns will need Bamba to be healthy and effective to beat the Bulldogs.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba (concussion), as expected, will suit up and start for Saturday's game against Lipscomb, Dustin McComas of Orangebloods.com reports.

Bamba has recovered from the concussion he suffered during Sunday's practice, which caused him to miss Tuesday's game against New Hampshire. He was impressive in his debut (15 points, eight rebounds and four blocks against Northwestern) and will look to continue the great start to his collegiate career Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba (concussion) is likely to return for Saturday's matchup against Lipscomb, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Bamba suffered a concussion at Sunday's practice and subsequently missed Tuesday's game against New Hampshire as a result. However, it looks like the star Freshman has recovered from his head injury, and should be ready to return Saturday assuming he avoids any setbacks. He put together an impressive debut, contributing 15 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks against Northwestern. His final status is unlikely to be confirmed until closer to game-time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba won't play Tuesday against New Hampshire after suffering a concussion during practice Sunday, Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman reports.

Bamba put together an impressive debut, amassing 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in the opener against Northwestern, but the encore performance will have to wait as he recovers from a concussion suffered during practice. Look for a possible return date to come Saturday against Lipscomb, but nothing has been set by the university so it could be later.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba made his Texas debut with 15 points (6-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, and four blocks in the win over Northwestern State on Friday.

Bamba is likely to be the key of the Texas press as the anchor to the defense, but his offense looked pretty smooth in the opener. It seems unlikely that he'll be able to continue to average 15 points, but boards and blocks are legitimate.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bamba was named the 2017-18 Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year, per Thursday's release.

Bamba is the consensus highest-rated recruit in the Big 12 conference, and that notion has now been backed up by media voters. He's expected to step in and start at center immediately for head coach Shaka Smart, and as long as he keeps up with the fast-paced "havoc" defense, Bamba should flirt with a double-double on a nightly basis. He's seven feet tall with an insane 7-9 wingspan, which will undoubtedly help him rack up rebounds and serve as one of the nation's top rim protectors. Though some aspects of his offensive game need refinement, his physical tools alone should allow him to put up reasonable scoring numbers via putbacks and easy baskets. With raw talent and physical skills that clearly translate to the next level, look for Bamba to put up a monster fantasy season before departing for the NBA.
