Diagnosed with fractured foot
Colson refractured his left foot during Saturday's second-round NIT loss to Penn State, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Colson had missed 15 games earlier in the season with a fracture to the same foot, so it appears it's an aggravation of that previous injury. While it's a tough blow for the 22-year-old senior, Colson is still expected to recover prior to team workouts during the NBA predraft process, so he should still get his chance to impress scouts. Largely considered a potential second-round pick, Colson will need to work on developing a more consistent three-point shot after shooting just 29 percent during the 2017-18 campaign, especially considering at 6-foot-5 he's likely too short to play power forward at the next level.

Will start, play around 20 minutes Wednesday
Colson (foot), who's already been announced a starter for Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh, is expected to play around 20 minutes, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports. "I was going to put him out there to start the game, even if the doctors didn't clear him, and foul right away just to see the place go crazy," coach Mike Brey said. "Now I don't have to foul. He'll start, and I'm hoping he can play 20 minutes."
