This is a significant blow right out of the gates for a Minnesota team looking to bounce back from an injury-plagued 2017-18 campaign. Per Fuller,
surgery was performed to clear up some cartilage damage after Curry dealt with some swelling last weekend. Unfortunately, he was forced to sit out all of last season with a torn meniscus and ligaments in the same knee, so this presents real concern for the rest of the season. Curry had also been dealing with a calf injury dating back to late September. Looking ahead, true freshman Daniel Oturu could be in line for extended minutes immediately, and Matz Stockman should also see time on the floor. If all goes according to plan, Curry could be back in action right after Thanksgiving, which would be ideal considering the Gophers have two conference games in early December.
