Ends playing career
Minnesota head coach Ben Johnson said Wednesday that Curry will forgo his remaining eligibility and move into a role within the basketball program as a graduate assistant, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
With Curry calling an end to his playing career and Liam Robbins opting to enter the transfer portal, Minnesota will be without its top two centers from 2020-21 heading into the Golden Gophers' first season with Ben Johnson patrolling the sidelines. The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Curry endured an injury-plagued career, but he was able to play in all 29 of Minnesota's contests this past season, averaging 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per contest.
