Myles Powell
Myles Powell
Seton Hall
Awarded preseason POY honors
GSeton Hall
October 10, 2019
Powell was named the 2019-20 Big East Preseason Player of the Year on Thursday morning.
Powell oddly enough did not make first-team all conference, but was nonetheless given POY honors. Entering his senior season after deciding against the NBA, Powell is expected to go toe-to-toe with Makus Howard of Marquette for the conference's scoring title. Powell was a fantasy owner's dream in his junior year, averaging 23.1 PPG on 44.7 percent shooting, chipping in 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.0 steals as well. With largely the same supporting contest around him on a team projected to win the Big East, a repeat performance (or even an improved one) is within the realm of possibility.
