Heading to Oregon
GOregon
June 2, 2021
Young announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Oregon, joining the program as a transfer from Rutgers.
ANALYSIS
The younger brother of former Ducks standout Joe Young, Jacob will follow in the footsteps of his older sibling and finish his career in Eugene. Oregon marks the third stop for Young, who spent his first two years of college at Texas before heading to Rutgers for a two-year stay. As a senior for the Scarlet Knights this past season, Young averaged 14.1 points, 3.4 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 30.1 minutes per game. He should play a prominent role in a backcourt mix that already includes Will Richardson and De'Vion Harmon.
