Cook announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to join Gonzaga as a graduate transfer in 2020-21.
ANALYSIS
He'll be able to compete right away for the Bulldogs in his final year of eligibility, adding an experienced option to a backcourt that loses significant contributors in Ryan Woolridge and Admon Gilder to graduation. Cook got off to a great start in Southern Illinois' first six games of 2019-20 before being shut down for the rest of the season, averaging 15.0 points, 3.3 assists, 3.2 steals and 3.0 rebounds over 31.2 minutes per game. Expect Cook to compete with incoming five-star recruit Jalen Suggs for the starting point guard job.
