Haarms announced Thursday that he'll join BYU as a graduate transfer for the 2020-21 season, Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Haarms will be able to compete immediately in Provo and should step into a starting role at center after being forced into a timeshare at the position with Trevion Williams in 2019-20. Even in a somewhat limited role, the 7-foot-3 Haarms proved to an elite rim protector, averaging 2.0 blocks per game to go along with 8.6 points and 4.6 boards in 20.6 minutes. He'll provide a big boost to a Cougars frontcourt that lost star Yoeli Childs to graduation.
