New season-high in scoring
John had 16 points (5-11 FG, 6-8 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 37 minutes in Sunday's 75-73 loss to St. John's.
ANALYSIS
It was the perfect storm for John to have one of his more productive days of the season, as the senior avoided foul trouble in an up-tempo matchup against the Red Storm, plus reserve forward Justin Lewis was sidelined with a leg injury. This resulted in great days for the starting forwards, as Dawson Garcia matched his season high with 20 points as well. John continues to offer steady points and rebounds for fantasy players, but his real value may be on defense, as the 6-9 forward is averaging 2.0 rejections over his last five games.
