Griffin will be eligible to compete immediately for the Flames in 2020-21 after receiving a waiver from the NCAA, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Griffin spent the last two seasons at Iowa State but elected to join a pair of other transfers in Teyvion Kirk and Maurice Commander, who both received waivers as well, at UIC for the upcoming campaign. Griffin should have two years of eligibility remaining when he takes the floor this fall.
