Baylor
Named Most Outstanding Player

April 6, 2021
Butler was named the 2021 Final Four Most Outstanding Player after leading the Bears to a National Title. He scored a team-high 22 points (6-14 FG< 4-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT) to go along with seven assists and three rebounds in the 86-70 victory.
ANALYSIS
Through six NCAA Tournament games, Butler averaged 15.2 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals, but his tournament high came when it mattered most in the National Championship. He and the Bears led for the entirety of the contest in what was a dominant defensive effort, and Butler's four three-pointers were a team-high for a squad that shot 43.5 percent from distance. Butler's magical junior year now concludes with a laundry list of accomplishments. In addition to the championship, Butler led Baylor to a regular season Big 12 title and was named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press. He'll have two years of remaining eligibility at Baylor if he chooses, though his recent stretch has certainly caught the eye of NBA scouts and could propel him to an early second-round pick.
