Grandison announced Sunday via his personal Twitter account that he has transferred to Illinois.
Grandison, a 6-foot-6 swingman, averaged 13.9 points, 5.0 boards, 2.9 assists, 2.1 triples and 1.1 steals in 34.6 minutes per game as a sophomore at Holy Cross in 2018-19. He'll have to sit out the upcoming campaign due to NCAA transfer rules, but Grandison will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2020-21. At that time, Grandison could be a prime candidate to claim a starting role on the wing, where his length and strong outside shooting would make him a nice asset for Illinois.
