Vogt announced Saturday via his personal Twitter account that he will join Wisconsin as a graduate transfer for the 2021-22 season.
ANALYSIS
Vogt arrives at Wisconsin after having started in 50 games for Cincinnati across the last two seasons. As a senior in 2020-21, he averaged 5.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks in 19.4 minutes per contest. He should have one year of eligibility remaining as he heads to Wisconsin, and he'll likely be the odds-on favorite to start at center in 2021-22 after the Badgers lost Micah Potter and Nate Reuvers to the professional ranks and Joe Hedstrom via transfer to Valparaiso. Before he competes for a starting role, however, Vogt will have to prove he's back to full health after he announced in late March that he underwent shoulder surgery.
