Headed for 2020 NBA Draft
FMemphis
April 24, 2020
Achiuwa announced Friday that he'll forgo his final three seasons at Memphis to enter the 2020 NBA Draft, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Achiuwa was one of the few remaining first-round candidates in the draft who had yet to officially declare for the draft, but he'll now formally move on from Memphis, as he indicated he intends to sign with a non-NCAA-certified agent. The 6-foot-9, 225-pound forward heads to the draft after a banner freshman campaign in which he averaged 15.8 points and 10.8 rebounds over 30.4 minutes. He'll be a candidate to push for a spot in the draft lottery if he impresses during pre-draft workouts.
