Villanova coach Jay Wright said Tuesday that Robinson-Earl informed him that he would withdraw from the 2020 NBA Draft and return to the Wildcats for his sophomore season, Adam Zagoria of The New York Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson-Earl's decision to stay in school comes a week after he entered the draft while maintaining his collegiate eligibility. Though Robinson-Earl received word from the NBA's draft advisory board that he would likely get selected had he turned pro, the 6-foot-9 big man said he felt he could put himself in better draft position if he stuck around at Villanova for at least one more year. Robinson-Earl claimed Big East Freshman of the Year honors after averaging 10.5 points and 9.4 rebounds in 32.7 minutes per game.
