James Rojas
Injury Knee
Out for 2019-20 with torn ACL
September 6, 2019
Rojas underwent surgery Thursday to repair a torn ACL in his right knee and has been ruled out for the 2019-20 season, Cecil Hurt of The Tuscaloosa News reports.
A NJCAA and NABC All-American last season, Rojas signed with Alabama in May and was expected to be an immediate contributor for Alabama. The surgery will delay Rojas' debut until 2020-21, at which point he would have one year of eligibility remaining. However, Rojas could apply for a medical redshirt that would leave him available for the Crimson Tide through the 2021-22 campaign. In the meantime, Herb Jones and Alex Reese should be in line to cover most of the minutes at power forward during the upcoming season.
