Gamecocks coach Brad Brownell indicated Wednesday that Reed's (knee) injury is not progressing as quickly as he'd hoped and that Reed will likely miss Saturday's game against Radford and possibly the tilt next week against South Carolina due to a Grade 2 MCL sprain,

ANALYSIS
Reed has lit up the box score for the Tigers in the early going this season, falling just short of 20 points per game in addition to 5.1 boards, 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals over 34 minutes in his eight appearances this season. It appears the issue may cost him another week or so, though the coach was unable to pinpoint an exact date for a potential return. If that's the case, look for Clyde Trapp, John Newman and Aamir Simms to receive some extra run moving forward.
