Heads to Rhode Island
Tchikou announced Sunday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Rhode Island, joining the program as a transfer from Alabama.
ANALYSIS
As a first-time transfer, Tchikou should be eligible to compete right away for Rhode Island in 2022-23. The 6-foot-11, 230-pound big man was a well-regarded recruit for Alabama's 2020 signing class, but he missed his entire freshman campaign in Tuscaloosa due to an Achilles injury and took a redshirt. He played in just three games for Alabama in 2021-22, with all of his appearances coming in November.
