Simmons appeared in eight contests (four starts) for Texas-Rio Grande Valley this season and averaged 6.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.4 minutes per game. It's the second time the 6-foot-3 guard has entered the transfer portal during his collegiate career after leaving Idaho following the 2019-20 season.
