Hamilton's game has reportedly taken a major step forward this offseason and he's competing for a starting role with the Golden Eagles, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Hamilton played in 29 games last season but averaged just 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds across 6.4 minutes. Now, however, the forward has taken a major leap and is in legitimate competition for a starting gig under head coach Shaka Smart. He appears to primarily be competing with Royce Parham and Ben Gold in the Golden Eagles' front court.
