Hyder's name was removed from Fresno State's official 2020-21 roster Monday, indicating that he'll transfer elsewhere to continue his playing career, Andrew Madden of KSEE 24 Fresno reports.
ANALYSIS
Hyder's decision to leave the program was made apparent shortly after his younger brother, freshman guard Jarred, entered the transfer portal earlier in the day. The elder Hyder thus becomes the fifth Bulldogs player to leave the program since the end of the season, leaving Fresno State will several roster spots to fill over the spring and summer. A junior in 2019-20, Hyder appeared in just four games, averaging 3.3 minutes per outing. He'll have one year of eligibility remaining at his next stop, though it's unclear whether or not he'll require a waiver from the NCAA to play right away if he heads to another Division I school.
