Andrus erupted for 32 points (14-21 FG, 4-4 FT) to go with nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks across 33 minutes Tuesday in Prairie View A&M's 82-60 win over Alabama A&M in the quarterfinal round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament.
ANALYSIS
The Panthers were able to easily dispatch the 8-22 Bulldogs thanks in large part to Andrus, whose scoring total represented a new career high. The senior forward supplemented the offense with quality numbers on the defensive end, but his outputs there tend to be more variable from game to game. Heading into Tuesday, Andrus had recorded only five steals and zero blocks over his prior six contests.
