Confirms hiring of agent
Molinar confirmed April 25 via his Instagram page that he will sign with an agent and remain in the 2022 NBA Draft, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Molinar originally intended to keep his collegiate eligibility, per his March 25 announcement, but now he'll remain focus on his goal of joining the professional ranks. He projects as a late-first/early-second round pick, but he seemingly received enough feedback in the process to be confident about his status. It also doesn't help that Mississippi State head coach Ben Howland was leg go this offseason, so Molinar would have had to start over fresh in a new system.
