Sitting out 2020-21, ending career
Good announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he will opt out of the 2020-21 season and end his basketball career, citing personal and family reasons.
ANALYSIS
After beginning his collegiate career at Appalachian State in 2016-17, Good transferred to East Tennessee State, where he had emerged as a regular starter over the past two seasons. As a redshirt junior in 2019-20, Good averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 treys, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 23.2 minutes per contest. He was expected to handle a sizable role in his final year of eligibility, but after revealing that he tested positive for COVID-19 in August, Good has chosen to step away from the game to put his own health and the health of his infant daughter at the forefront. Good likely would have been able to return to East Tennessee State in 2021-22, but he doesn't appear to be considering that option.
