Carter will no longer transfer to Rice and will instead sign with Memphis for the 2024-25 season, Jason Munz of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Carter signed with Rice back in June but since he did not report to campus, he was able to sign with another school if he pleased. The 6-foot-5 guard has now decided he'll join Memphis' squad instead of Rice. He averaged 9.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 three-pointers made on 19.8 minutes per game in the 2023-24 campaign with Texas-San Antonio.
