Iorio entered the NCAA's transfer portal Monday with the intention of leaving South Alabama as a graduate transfer, Creg Stephenson of AL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
South Alabama head coach Richie Riley confirmed that Iorio won't return to the Jaguars, so the redshirt junior looks poised to spend his final two years of eligibility elsewhere. Iorio is entering the portal for the second time in his career, as he previously signed with South Alabama in 2019 following a two-year run at American. After sitting out the 2019-20 season to comply with NCAA transfer rules, Iorio appeared in 25 games (11 starts) for the Jaguars in 2020-21, averaging 7.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 three-pointers in 23.5 minutes per contest.
