Woodley has been away from the team and is not expected to be back for the foreseeable future according to coach Frank Martin, via Pedro Gray Soares of the UMass Sports Network.
ANALYSIS
Woodley did not play in the team's exhibition game last week. He has a familiarity with coach Frank Martin after following him from South Carolina. Woodley averaged 2.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game last season and was expected to carry on a bigger role with the Minutemen in 2022-23. We'll have to wait until we get another update, but it doesn't seem like we should expect Woodley to make an impact with UMass for some time.
