April 22, 2021
Clarke was announced dead Thursday evening after he was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles, the WKYT News Staff reports.
ANALYSIS
A lot is still developing surrounding this tragic accident but it has been confirmed that Clarke passed away on the way to the hospital. He and former Kentucky Teammate Brandon Boston were on their way out from a workout in Los Angeles when the accident happened, however, Boston was not in the car with Clarke but was driving behind him. Clarke was limited to just eight games in his only season with the Wildcats due to a leg injury and averaged 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and two assists in 28.5 minutes per game. He announced his decision to enter the NBA Draft back in March and was just months away from completing his dream of making it to the league.
